The hospital has a total capacity of more than 3000 beds spread among 14 specialized hospitals. It’s a partner of the University of Lille and one of the largest health campuses in Europe, with a Faculty of Medicine where more than 12,000 students are enrolled.

Prof. Claire Mounier-Vehier and University Hospital of Lille developed a Cœur–Artères–Femmes (Heart–Arteries–Women) care pathway that brings together cardiologists, pulmonologists, gynecologists, obstetricians, general practitioners, pharmacists and allied health professionals into a cross-functional and collaborative health team that also includes consulting physicians. The team focuses on four objectives:
- monitoring follow-up care with discussions about practices, treatment optimizations and educational support
- improving patient information
- optimizing training for healthcare professionals
- setting up clinical research trials

The Cœur–Artères–Femmes (Heart–Arteries–Women) pathway is one of University Hospital of Lille heart and lung institute’s flagship projects as part of its 2018-2022 institutional plan.

University Hospital of Lille is happy to support Women’s Cardiovascular Healthcare Foundation and partner with them in order to share their experience with other regions in France and abroad to support implementation of structured clinic + hospital gynecardiology care pathways.
